One simple place to start is an Online Energy Checkup. It's a short survey you can take through your I&M account that looks at things like your home's energy use, appliances, and equipment.

After you complete it, you'll get a personalized report with tips and recommendations tailored to your home. The report can help you spot areas where energy may be going to be wasted and show you ways to improve efficiency, stay comfortable, and potentially lower your energy costs.

Even better, some customers who complete the Online Energy Checkup may qualify for a free energy-saving product kit shipped right to their home. The kit includes products that can help you put some of the recommended energy-saving tips into action right away. Customers in both Indiana and Michigan can complete the Online Energy Checkup; however, only Indiana residents are eligible to receive the free energy-saving kit. (The free kit is limited to one per account every three years.)
